Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a mixing vessel and in particular to a mixing vessel for use with a motorized food processor or mixer.
Background of the Invention Food processors, often called mixers, are used to chop, mix or blend a variety of foods and beverages, including hot and cold water shoes and solids, such as ice, fruit, vegetables and the like. In a typical mixer, a 'Karl' is releasably arranged on a base comprising an electric motor. A blade unit having a plurality of blades is arranged near the bottom of the cadet and is driven by the motor via a coupling means when the cadet is arranged on the base.
In order to chop, mix and blend foods and beverages correctly, they must circulate correctly around the cadet and through the blade unit during operation of the processor. Water shoes, for example, are pulled down in the middle of the vessel through the leaves and driven upwards along the sides of the cadet. However, solids or waders that have a thick consistency or a large volume can sometimes not circulate properly around the mixer. These pods and thick water lilies form a bag around the leaves in the stable to frame through the leaves.

Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments Before any embodiments of the invention are described in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of the devices set forth in the following description or shown in the accompanying drawings. The invention may have other embodiments and may be practiced or carried out in various ways. In addition, it is to be understood that the formulations and terminology used herein are for descriptive purposes and should not be construed as limiting.
The drawings show a preferred embodiment of a mixing vessel 1 according to the invention. The cradle has a cradle which comprises a cylindrical upper part 2 and a truncated conical lower part 3. The upper edge 4 of the cradle defines a first upper opening 5 of the tub and the lower edge 6 of the cradle defines a second batten or lower opening of the barrel . The lower truncated part 3 of the cradle is tapered towards the lower circular opening 7, which is smaller than the upper opening 5. The cylindrical upper part 2 defines a first longitudinal axis 10 substantially centered in the upper part 2. The lower truncated part 3 of the cradle defines a second longitudinal axis 11 substantially centered with the lower circular opening 7. The second longitudinal axis 11 is offset from the first longitudinal axis 10, so that the upper and lower openings 5, 7 are eccentric.
The lower vessel part 3 has a plurality of adjacent curved bulges 12 formed on its inner surface. The adjacent curved bulges 12 extend around the entire circumference of the tapered portion of the lower vessel portion 3 to form a hypocyclic inner surface in the lower portion of the vessel. The cylindrical upper part 2 of the cradle has four mats extending in the circumferential direction of elongated ribs 13, which extend in the longitudinal direction from the transition 14 between the upper and lower parts of the cradle about two thirds of the length of the cylindrical upper part 2.
The lower circular opening 7 is closed by an upwardly tapering base structure 20. The base 20 comprises a flange 21 which abuts against the lower edge 6 of the male cradle. The base is releasably fixed by means of a ring 30 which is in gang engagement with a threaded patch 31 formed at the lower edge 6 of the male cradle. The upwardly tapered base structure 20 includes a lower truncated conical portion and an upper cylindrical portion extending through the lower opening 7 to a height near the transition 14 between the upper and lower portions of the cradle. The upwardly tapered base structure 20 is arranged in the lower truncated conical part 3 of the cradle with its upper part 28 at the level of the bottom of the cylindrical upper part 2. A vertically rotating spindle 24 is arranged through the center of the base and has a blade unit fixed to its upper ande inuti karlet. The lower end of the spindle 24 has a coupling means 32 for engaging a complementary motor drive coupling means (not shown). The spindle 24 and the blade unit are rotating about the second longitudinal axis 11 and thus also offset than the first longitudinal axis 10. The blade unit is on the upper part 29 of the base and in the lower part of the cylindrical upper part 2 of the cadet. The blade of the offset Than the middle of the cylindrical upper part 2 of the vessel.
The blade unit is mounted on the spindle 24 and is made of a single metal plate. Referring to Figure 7, the blade plate has a nay 28 at its center which is provided with an opening 33 for engaging the upper part of the spindle 24. Six blade arms spaced apart in the circumferential direction extend the hub 28. A first diametrically opposite pair 27 of the arms is! Adding upward to form upper blades 27, a second diametrically opposite pair 26 of the blade arms extends radially from the hub in a horizontal plane to form center blades 26 and a third diametrically opposite pair 25 of the blades is curved to form lower blades 25, used in the pairs of blade arms are separated in the circumferential direction around the hub. The lower blades 25 are [Ada at an intermediate stall 36 to be parallel to surfaces of the truncated conical 22 and cylindrical 23 parts of the base 20. It helps to avoid blockage during mixing.
The complementary double tapered device has the lower truncated conical rock part 3 and the upwardly tapered base structure 20 forms the lower space, which in combination with the action of the lower blades 25 causes thick food or liquid to circulate in the stable to stay below the lower leaf. The hypocyclic inner surface of the lower part of the vessel causes a vortex action between the lower and central blades 25, 26 to achieve better mixing. The ribs 13 have the upper cylindrical part 2 have the vessel assists with upward guiding during mixing. The upward flow circulates along the center of the cylindrical portion 2 of the vessel to the upper and central blades 27, 26.
Figure 8 shows an alternative embodiment of the vessel, used in the spindle 24 and the blade unit is rotating about an axis of rotation 35 which is inclined at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis 10, which contributes to obtaining improved mixing. 8
